macOS 11 Big Sur or later, on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. We test primarily on macOS 12 Monterey with extensive compatibility verification on macOS 11, 13, 14, and 15.
The free version includes the full app with no feature restrictions. You're limited to 300 middle-clicks per day. The next day resets automatically at midnight. That's enough for most casual users.
MidClick needs Accessibility access to send synthetic events and Input Monitoring (on macOS 13+) to listen to the trackpad. Both are standard macOS permissions and we explain exactly what each does.
No. MidClick uses a private multitouch API and only triggers on the specific three-finger tap pattern. Two-finger, four-finger, and swipe gestures are completely untouched.
